The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) today announced the signing of its seventh Taj hotel in Bengaluru.

Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s strategy to strengthen our presence in major cities and cater to the growing demand for MICE and wedding events. Bengaluru, being a major IT and business hub, offers the ideal environment to create demand for leisure outings and events within easy driving distance of the city. We are delighted to partner with BCM GROUP and Rajesh Mehta on this project and look forward to delivering the ultimate Taj experience.”

Spread over 14 acres of lush landscapes, the 225-room Taj Resort offers carefully designed rooms strategically located near the city’s major destinations. Guests can dine at the all-day dining restaurant or two specialty restaurants or relax by the pool or lounge bar. The hotel offers a 19,000 sq. ft. ballroom with 11 multi-purpose meeting rooms and other banquet areas. For relaxation and recreation, guests can avail of the state-of-the-art gymnasium, health club, swimming pool and treatment rooms.

With this hotel, IHCL has 20 hotels in Karnataka, including 7 under construction.
