Who among us hasn’t enjoyed their birthday celebration so much that they tried to keep the party going with a little more flair? Ford certainly knows that feeling. In April of this year, the brand with the blue oval announced the 60th Anniversary Edition of the Mustang as a tribute to the 1965 car.
This morning, Ford resumed the celebrations with the addition of the iconic Brittany Blue paint color to the Anniversary Package. The new color joins the already available red, white and blue options. Customers interested in ordering this color should not miss this opportunity, as Ford is only offering it from August 16 to 19.
The Anniversary Package is limited to 1,965 units, a fun nod to the model’s first official model year. Brittany Blue models are limited to the coupe body and 10-speed automatic transmission. All Brittany Blue Anniversary cars will feature active exhaust, Brembo brakes, limited-slip rear differential, and Space Gray upholstery.
All anniversary editions get 20-inch five-spoke wheels in dark gray with a red hubcap reminiscent of the 1965 model. There are also tinted Nite Pony headlights and a mesh grille design that Ford says is reminiscent of the original. Plus, Ford wouldn’t sell such a limited-edition car without putting a serial number plaque on the dashboard, so that finds its place on the model.
Pricing for the Brittany Blue anniversary model starts at $66,840. Production begins later this year. Ford will randomly select submissions after the application period closes.
