49ers and Levi’s® Stadium announce new features to enhance the fan experience

Following the venue’s 10-year anniversary in July, the 49ers are investing in Levi’s® Stadium to advance it for the next 10 years and beyond.

SANTA CLARA, California. – Today, the 49ers and Levi’s® Stadium announce several new amenities designed to enhance the fan experience and maintain the building’s status as a world-class venue. This follows the stadium’s 10-year anniversary and comes in preparation for 2026, when Levi’s® Stadium will be the first venue in history to host a FIFA World Cup and a Super Bowl in the same year.

Thanks to the 49ers’ key corporate partners, numerous stadium and club areas will receive a new look. Fans coming to the stadium from the north will now enter through Xfinity Gate A, and Cache Creek Field Club will offer an all-inclusive buffet for select ticket holders for the 2024 season.

Thanks to new technology upgrades, fans are better connected than ever. Levi’s® Stadium now offers fast and reliable free Wi-Fi from Xfinity. The new Cisco Wi-Fi 6 infrastructure includes 1,300 access points that provide high-speed internet at every location. In addition, the stadium plans to upgrade its wireless network provided by Verizon. With the help of America Fujikura Ltd. (AFL), the stadium will be equipped with a new 5G Distributed Antenna System (DAS), giving fans the best connectivity of any building in the NFL. In the main concourse, seamless concession stands will provide fans with an alternative, cashier-free way to stock up on basic food and beverage items.

“Together with our loyal 49ers fans, members and corporate and event partners, we have made Levi’s® Stadium a world-class sports and entertainment destination,” said Brent SchoebChief Revenue and Marketing Officer for the 49ers. “In our first decade at Levi’s® Stadium, we have created an award-winning experience. As we prepare for the next decade of 49ers games, Super Bowl 60, the FIFA World Cup, concerts and other events, we will continue to invest in the fan experience.”

In preparation for hosting some of the world’s biggest sporting events in 2026, the 49ers are investing $200 million in Levi’s® Stadium for use in multiple areas, including the stadium’s luxury spaces. The creation of 20 additional field seats will further expand the team’s proven success in creating field-level experiences, while the Graton Winners Club will serve over 2,000 fans and feature two new open-air patio bars and other fan activities. In addition, over 120 luxury suites at Levi’s® Stadium will be remodeled and outfitted with modern furnishings and technology. Half of all suite renovations were completed this past offseason and the remaining half will be completed prior to the 2025 season.

Several other major projects will be completed before the 2025 season, including new state-of-the-art video boards that will give Levi’s® Stadium the largest 4K display in the league. An additional 13,000 square feet of LED screens will also be upgraded, while a new LED field lighting system will brighten the playing surface for prime-time games while also conserving energy. This combination will provide fans at Levi’s® Stadium with a premium visual entertainment experience.

“After running a packed schedule of non-NFL events, including five football games and three concerts, our stadium operations team has now turned its attention to football,” said Francine Melendez HughesExecutive Vice President & General Manager, Stadium Operations. “We have worked hard to renovate and upgrade parts of the stadium for fans, but the work is not done. Some of our biggest projects are still ahead. We look forward to continuing to innovate to provide fans with one of the best viewing experiences in the NFL.”

Finally, Levi’s® Stadium is proud to have recently been awarded LEED Gold certification for Operations and Maintenance of Existing Buildings by the U.S. Green Building Council. This is the third LEED Gold certification for the venue, the first in 2014 for BD+C: New Construction; the second in 2016 for O+M: Existing Buildings. These recognitions solidify Levi’s® Stadium’s position as a leader in sustainability.
