8 Fall 2024 Pedicure Trends to Paint Your Toes

Even though summer is coming to an end and you’re almost pushing your sandals to the back of your closet, you can’t deny how good a fresh pedicure feels to mark the change of season.

This fall, a few timeless nail polish colors will dominate trends, according to top celebrity nail artists Tom Bachik and Jin Soon Choi. However, for those who prefer a bold pop of color on their toes year-round, there are also some unexpected shades that the cool girls will be reaching for.

Alongside more traditional fall colors like pure black and the universally flattering red, magenta is set to have a major moment. This shade isn’t quite neon purple or pink, but it’s as cozy as it is bright—and it’s on-trend for a matching manicure, too.

In addition, bright emerald green tones dominate, whose elegant shade gives your feet a feeling of absolute luxury.

Ready for fresh hues as the leaves start to fall? Here are eight of the hottest pedicure nail polish colors for fall 2024, as predicted by experts.

1Burgundy “Black Cherry”

Burgundy pedicures are on trend for fall 2024.

When it comes to the hottest nail polish shade of the fall season – for both manicures and pedicures – “Black Cherry” is the winner.

Bachik, an imPRESS ambassador and celebrity-favorite manicurist who works with A-listers like Selena Gomez and Margot Robbie, recommends the deep burgundy shade. “Rouge Noir by Chanel is a great option,” he tells Bustle.

2Luxurious emerald green

Emerald green pedicures are on trend for fall 2024.

For the coming cooler months, Bachik especially loves a shade of green that is both unique and eye-catching for your toes.

“I love a deep, dark green,” he says, noting that he is inspired by beautiful emeralds. Think of it as a mix of summer and fall.

3Pure black toes

Black pedicures are trending in fall 2024.

If you’re in doubt, glossy black pedicures are a classic cold-weather choice. Both Choi—a celebrity nail artist and founder of JINsoon—and Bachik subscribe to this.

“Black is bold, mysterious and undeniably chic. It’s the perfect choice for anyone who wants to make a statement,” says Choi. “Although black is the opposite of simple, it can also create a very clean and elegant look.”

The JINsoon Nail Polish in Absolute Black ($18) and the Mooncat Nail Polish in Emo For Life ($13) are two solid options.

4Transparent “Milk Bath” White

Transparent white pedicures will be on trend in fall 2024.

Another classic: Transparent white nail polish looks infinitely fresh and pure – and is a color that Kourtney Kardashian Barker is a fan of.

“I love a very light shade of white on the toes,” says Bachik. “The contrast looks so great.”

5Truly timeless red

Red pedicures are trendy in fall 2024.

While red painted toenails are stunning all year round, there is something particularly sensual and spicy about the shade during the fall months.

“Red is a bold and timeless choice and always a striking color,” says Choi. “It suits different skin tones and looks effortlessly chic.”

6Tips for “old money” in French

French tip pedicures will be trendy in fall 2024.

Are you still in your “old money” era? Take a cue from stars like Kylie Jenner and ask for a French pedicure the next time you visit the nail salon. And while fresh white tips are always in, Bachik has a playful tip for cooler days.

“I love French tips – and you can change the color of the tips depending on the season,” he says. Pumpkin spiced toenails, anyone?

7Big magenta moment

Magenta pedicures are trending in fall 2024.

Make way, Barbiecore pink – magenta is the latest it color to take over the nail world. Although it’s almost neon, it’s the perfect fall shade that beautifully complements the fading summer tan.

If you need a perfect pedicure in minutes, Bachik recommends the imPRESS Color Press-On Pedicure in Party Rock ($7.99) for the ultimate pop of pink.

8Warm neutral tones

In fall 2024, pedicures in warm, neutral tones will be on trend.

If pure white nail polish is too bright for you, you can go for a warm, neutral shade for a cozy yet minimalistic atmosphere.

“Some people prefer to go for a warm nude that matches their skin tone,” says Bachik. “You can also go just one shade lighter or darker to make the toes look more expressive but still subtle.”

Choi agrees, emphasizing how versatile the color can be. “A neutral nude pedicure is a versatile option that’s perfect for a clean and polished look.” Very chic.
