- David Zuckerman and John Rodgers win Vermont lieutenant governor primary – Zuckerman, the incumbent lieutenant governor, defeated Thomas Renner in the Democratic primary. Rodgers, a former Democratic state representative, defeated Gregory Thayer in the Republican race. (13 August, 20:38)
- In Brattleboro, the chairwoman of the House Budget Committee wins the Democratic primary – Representative Emilie Kornheiser prevailed over farmer Amanda Ellis-Thurber in a vote on Tuesday that focused on differing priorities in increasing state revenue. (13 August, 20:23)
- Esther Charlestin wins the Democratic gubernatorial primary while most state incumbents easily win primaries – Charlestin is trying to unseat Governor Phil Scott, who faced no competition in Vermont’s Republican primary. (13 August, 19:19)
