Tools worth over ,000 stolen from construction sites in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KOLN) – Three construction workers in east Lincoln had power tools and equipment valued at more than $5,000 stolen, according to police reports.

The first theft was reported Monday morning when a construction worker discovered that over $1,500 worth of tools had been stolen from a construction site near North 108th Street and Majestic Lane. The stolen items included a Milwaukee drill set, batteries, a multi-tool, a planer, a Craftsman leaf blower and a Husky work light. The worker believes the theft occurred over the weekend of August 3-4.

In another incident, another construction worker in the same area reported that a large portable speaker was stolen sometime during the weekend of August 10-11.

A third report involved the theft of over $3,500 worth of tools from a location near North 108th Street and Shore Front Drive. The stolen items included Milwaukee drills, floodlights, batteries, multi-tools, a charger, a sander, a leaf blower and two tool bags containing various tools. The worker believes the theft occurred over the weekend of August 10-11.
