New hotels in Clermont: expanded accommodation options for travelers and longer stays

Staybridge Suites comes to Clermont

Clermont will welcome a new wave of hotel projects that will provide visitors and long-term travelers with a range of comfortable and convenient overnight accommodation options. Notable projects currently underway include the construction of the Staybridge Suites by IHG, The hotel is located at 3440 US Hwy 27, just west of the intersection of Hammock Ridge Road and US-27. This upcoming addition will offer a total of 72,000 square feet of floor space spread over four floors on a 2.50 acre site. The hotel will have 100 rooms specifically designed to meet the needs of long-term guests. A variety of studio, one and two-bedroom suites are available. Each room is equipped with a kitchen, separate living area and dedicated work area, allowing guests to enjoy the comforts of home during their stay. Additional amenities such as free WiFi, fitness center, free laundry and a pet-friendly policy make this an ideal choice for both short- and long-term visitors. This property is very similar in size and scope to the nearby Hampton Inn Suites, further expanding lodging options in Clermont.

Staybridge Suites is just one of several new hotels on the horizon. Also in the planning stages is a new Marriott TownePlace Suites, The hotel will be located on a 4.07-acre site approximately three-quarters of a mile east of US 27 at Omar Street and Highway 50. The proposed four-story hotel will have 112 rooms and offer guests a number of amenities, including a pool and outdoor tiki bar area, which will provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience. In addition, the building will include a 294-seat restaurant that will serve both hotel guests and local residents. To accommodate this new construction, an existing law office building on the site will be demolished.

As a complement to the growing hotel landscape of Clermont Clermont West Investments is seeking city approval to build two additional hotels on a site accessible via an existing entrance on Hooks Street. This site, which currently serves Ford of Clermont, will also be accessible via the existing entrance to SR 50 and the Sandy Grove access point to the east. These hotels, potentially rising as much as five stories, will significantly increase the area’s overnight accommodation capacity.

As Clermont continues to grow, these new hotels will provide travelers and locals with more choices and ensure the city remains a top destination for those seeking both short-term and long-term lodging. With easy access to local restaurants, businesses, medical services, hospitals and Lake Sumter State College, Clermont’s growing hospitality offerings will meet the needs of its ever-growing visitor base.
