“Exiled” by Wesley Snipes is a mix of Blade Runner and Seven

Described as a “sci-fi noir,” The Exalted centers on police detective Niles “Roach” Washington. Roach is on the hunt for a serial killer he believes is part of an ancient conspiracy. His colleagues and bosses think he’s crazy. Unfortunately for them all, Roach may be right. With enemies on all sides, from his fellow police officers to powerful forces he can’t explain, Roach must dig deeper and uncover secrets that have been hidden for thousands of years.

“Comics let you explore big worlds,” Wesley Snipes enthused in his talk about The Exiled. “Since Blade, I’ve been fascinated by origin stories and character development. Now I get to build ‘Roach’ as a character from the ground up and I like that.”

Co-writer Keith Arem was equally enthusiastic about the collaboration. “I’m thrilled to be working with Wesley again. He’s a fantastic creative partner and Adam and I love working with him.”

The paperback edition of The Exiled is the first time the series has been available outside of specialty stores. Despite selling over 200,000 copies a month, it has not yet been published as a graphic novel. Massive Entertainment has high hopes for the new volume, which is why a limited edition first print run of 10,000 copies will be sold exclusively through Amazon. However, the paperback edition will be available in comic shops everywhere, in addition to bookstores and online outlets.

Wesley Snipes’ The Exiled Vol. 1 will be released on October 29, 2024.
