Known for its lavish amenities and waterfront location, Wentworth by the Sea in New Castle was voted one of the country’s best waterfront hotels in a USA Today 10Best poll.
USA Today 10Best, owned by the same parent company as The Portsmouth Herald, is a travel and lifestyle website that regularly publishes lists of the ten best. In each category, nominees are suggested by experts, then narrowed down by editors and voted on by readers to determine the final rankings.

Wentworth by the Sea is a Gilded Age property that has hosted presidents and other dignitaries. The island hotel’s famous turreted façade is the perfect place to stay when exploring Portsmouth.
