Today we’re taking a look at Belkin’s new Qi2 15W power bank, known as the BoostCharge Pro Magnetic. The latest version of this high-performance portable solution is now available on Amazon and is among the first Qi2 options on the market from brands like Anker and some lesser-known vendors.
The new Belkin BoostCharge power bank offers 15 W Qi2 charging power
As we’ve detailed before, the new Qi2 charging standard has arrived in full force in a variety of accessories for the iPhone, designed to safely deliver 15W of maximum power to your handset, be it with a MagSafe stand or a power bank, among others.
But where it really shines is in the portable space – there have actually been certified MagSafe stands that deliver 15W of power for a long time, but when it comes to power banks, the choice is more limited. Since then, several models have appeared from brands like Anker, and while people have been waiting years for Apple to deliver something that can handle the iPhone’s maximum 15W on the go, Belkin is another notable third-party company coming up with portable solutions that can deliver maximum power.
The new Belkin BoostCharge Pro Wireless Power Bank with Qi2 is available in white and black. The cheaper 5,000 mAh models are now available on Amazon at $59.99 ready to ship. This is certainly a more expensive option than most comparable solutions from Anker – this model, which also includes a pop-up stand, costs under $40 at the moment – but then again, Belkin gear is always more expensive than Anker’s.
Aside from the obvious here – it’s a MagSafe power bank that attaches to the back of your device when you need power on the go, capable of delivering the full 15W, you’re essentially looking at the same power banks the brand has been delivering for a while now. It’s all about the power here and how quickly it can charge your Apple handset.
Belkin says the 5,000mAh model “helps you get up to 16 hours of additional charging time for your smartphone at up to 20 watts and up to 16 hours of video playback for your iPhone 15.”
It is magnetic, has an LED indicator, and comes with a 3-foot USB-C cable to either charge the internal battery or charge a second device at the same time.
