Trailer for the film “The Colors Within” by Naoko Yamada and Science Saru shows IMAX screenings and previews the title song – News

The official website for The colors inside (Kimi no Iro), the new anime feature film from Science SARU and director Naoko Yamada (K-ON!, The Heike Story, A silent voice), released a new trailer and video on Friday, both of which reveal that the film will be shown in IMAX format in 51 theaters in Japan. The video shows Mr. Children‘s title song “In the Bag”.

The anime will be released in Japan on August 30th. The film was originally scheduled to be released in fall 2023, but was then postponed to 2024. GKIDS has acquired the film for North America, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. Anime Ltd. has acquired the film for Europe. PLAION PICTURES will serve the Italian and German speaking areas and charade will lead sales for the rest of Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand.

The story revolves around Totsuko, a high school student who can see the “colors” of emotions in people’s hearts. She attends a mission school in Nagasaki. To protect her friends and family from dark feelings, she worries, interprets situations, and even lies to smooth things over. In an antique shop at the end of town, she meets a beautiful woman with an incredibly beautiful complexion and a music-loving boy who is trying to put together a band. The story is about these three sensitive people who come together to play in a band.

Yamada directed the film Science SARU. History Inc. is named as planner and producer. Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Girls and Panzer, Ride your wave, Violet Evergarden) wrote the screenplay and Kensuke Uschio (Space Dandy, A silent voice, Liz and the Blue Bird, Chainsaw Man) composed the music. DaisukeRichard designed the original characters and Takashi Kojima designed the characters and also directed the animation.

The film premiered in June this year at this year’s Annecy International Film Festival. It also won the Best Animated Film award at the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival in June.

Suzuki boss A manga adaptation of the film was launched on Kadokawa‘S Comic-Neutyp Platform on July 16th.
