What is “Bering Sea Gold” about?

According to Discovery’s official synopsis, “The Alaska Gold Rush isn’t limited to the state’s precious soil. It’s happening at sea…or, more specifically, on the bottom of the icy Bering Sea. From the creators of the Emmy-winning film Deadliest Catch, this series follows four gold dredgers and their eccentric and ambitious crews as they risk their lives to find as much gold as possible before winter sets in and diving becomes too dangerous. The custom-built rigs, some of which are barely seaworthy, include an 80-foot vessel operated by the most successful gold dredge in Nome, Alaska, and a converted skiff that seats only two people.”
