Meet the woman behind the Only Fans billboard in New Orleans, LA | Entertainment/Life

A new billboard promoting a woman’s OnlyFans account was originally a joke until it caught the attention of thousands of people in New Orleans.

It stands in Central City, towering over the neighborhood near Caesars Superdome. The content creator’s username, “ArielleMyles88,” is written in bold, teal letters. But the star of the creative display is the woman behind it all, whose name is Meighan Baker.

Since deciding to purchase a Lamar Advertising billboard—which is also inadvertently located near a church—Baker says she has heard good, bad, and everything in between.

Social media users attacked her looks in the comment sections. Other women in the sex industry praised her. People in her hometown of Baton Rouge criticized her career, while most in New Orleans supported her.

But the billboard was not originally intended to be taken seriously, no matter what one may have seen on social media, Baker said.

“It started as just a joke.”

Start an OnlyFans

OnlyFans, a subscription service for sexual content and other entertainment, has been an online platform for years. It gained popularity at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

While living in the French Quarter during the summer of 2021, Baker was a dancer at Rick’s Cabaret on Bourbon Street. She set up an OnlyFans account when COVID-19 suddenly brought her work to a halt.

Her main source of income has since become OnlyFans, but she also still performs at a club in Port Allen, less than an hour from her home in Denham Springs. Baker’s boyfriend Steven Gremillion is her business partner.

“I could never make as much money in my entire life as some people on OnlyFans,” Gremillion said.

He quit his job after realizing the financial potential of OnlyFans and how it could help him support his children for the rest of their lives. Baker has a 13-year-old daughter and Gremillion also has two daughters and a son.

“(Our children) could have everything they ever wanted,” Gremillion said.

The two business partners have now expanded their audience to include seven Facebook accounts, five Instagram accounts, at least six TikTok accounts and three or four YouTube channels. Baker said the sexual content is only a small part of the work that goes into juggling multiple platforms. She also uses OFTV – a non-explicit video platform created by OnlyFans – to share fishing content.

Bringing the billboard to life

Another OnlyFans content creator inspired Baker to invest in a billboard openly displaying her account.

The woman was fired from her job at a nursing home after staff found out she was on OnlyFans. After hearing her story, Baker wanted to share her account outside of the internet.

“It gives you the push you need to get out there, whether it’s good or bad, in whatever form,” Baker said.

Now the woman, whose name was not disclosed, is bringing home around $250,000 a month from OnlyFans following her firing, Gremillion added.

Another eye-catching ad in the New Orleans area also served as inspiration for Baker. A digital billboard in Kenner that went up in June to “welcome” Donald Trump to New Orleans featured the former president and Stormy Daniels together. When Baker noticed the billboard, she knew she wanted to create something similar.

When Baker presented her idea to the Lamar Advertising Company in New Orleans, there was no resistance. One of the only requirements for the billboard was that the image could not be “provocative.”

“Nothing is actually shown,” Baker said, “but it’s an attractive girl on a billboard, so no one could complain about anything.”

After the poster went up on July 29, Baker’s OnlyFans subscriptions increased from 90 to 200 members in less than two weeks. Her income has increased by 200% so far.

“As long as you put in the work, the money is there,” Baker said.

The poster will be on display for four weeks. Depending on the impact, Baker said she has considered putting up more posters in New Orleans.

According to Gremillion’s research, Baker’s OnlyFans billboard is the first of its kind in the U.S. A poster hanging on the side of a building in Australia is the only advertisement that comes relatively close.
