Huge estate of Texas megachurch pastor for sale for million

Everything is bigger in Texas—and we’re not just talking about giant hailstorms or 12-gallon hats.

This time it is a huge complex of six separate houses spread over 24 acres in the Houston suburb of Spring. And with this huge property comes a very high price: $15 million.

The incredible property is being sold by a local megachurch, New Light Christian Center Church, which served as the residence of its founder for many years. Bishop IV. Hilliard.

The property was classified by Hilliard as a parsonage, meaning he did not have to pay property taxes on it.

In 2021, a lawyer for the church told the Houston Chronicle that the property was primarily used as a “clergy retreat and conference center” and was therefore eligible for tax breaks.

The complex was built in 1999.

A church complex with opulent amenities

The main house is “magazine-worthy,” the listing says, starting with an entryway that wouldn’t be out of place in Las Vegas and continuing with numerous bedrooms, an undetermined number of bathrooms and plenty of expansive living spaces.

A major renovation in 2020 refreshed the interiors. Sleek finishes include granite in the bathrooms and the two wet bars, and updated fixtures throughout. High-end amenities include a home theater, hair salon, banquet room, and commercial kitchen.

The master bedroom features 25-foot ceilings, a fitness area, and a bathroom with a sunken spa tub.

The kitchen has a breakfast bar and a long kitchen island.

The property includes an oversized pool with spa, a tennis court, an office complex with a fitness center, a volleyball court and a pond filled with bass.

Of course, there’s room for cars – 22, to be exact. Spring is a suburb of Houston, about 26 miles away.

The area became the subject of national media attention in 2016 as the hometown of Olympic gymnast Simone Bileswhose parents even opened a training facility there.

What could happen next for the connection?

The possibilities are many. According to the listing, the property could serve as a family estate, small hotel or event space for weddings and family gatherings.

“Have you always dreamed of owning your own family estate or community? Operating your own bed and breakfast? A wedding venue? An event center? Then you must check out this luxurious property,” it urges.

Thanks to the “Cowgirl Core” trend and the many people who have decided to make the Lone Star State their home, Texas is more popular than ever.

Per Derek Loebbeckea real estate agent at Texas Ranch Sales: “Since COVID, Texas has seen an influx of people, from celebrities to average Americans.”

A home cinema is included in the rental price.
