New iPhone 16 Pro Max leak shows bronze-gold color…

iPhone 16 Pro Max dummies in four colors.

It’s hard to believe that Apple could announce the iPhone 16 models in just a few weeks. The leaks have been coming out at regular intervals and a new one showed the colors of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, including the alleged bronze-gold shade that stands out from the other models (although the titanium shade also stands out).

The image comes from leaker Sonny Dickson on X. They have shared dummy units for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. At least, based on the size, we think it’s the Max. However, it’s difficult to tell if it’s the larger phone or the base model Pro.

Regardless of the size of the phone, the color is vibrant and attractive. If this is the final color option for the iPhone 16 Pro devices, I will definitely get a Gold Bronze (whatever Apple ends up calling it) when I buy an iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The White, Black, and Natural Titanium colors aren’t new, as we’ve seen these shades in a previous leak, but we suspected Apple had another color up its sleeve, and this leak seems to confirm that.

The bronze colored dummy phone is a bit darker than expected, almost resembling a leather look and feel. Of course, the final product could look different, but it would be bold if Apple opted for a dark bronze color instead of a lighter, more traditional gold. It could also be due to the lighting, as the way the light hits the dummy phone makes it appear darker than it actually is.

Either way, we won’t have to wait long to see everything Apple has planned for the iPhone 16 lineup. We expect everything from color to specs to be revealed in September, when Apple usually holds its big iPhone events. In the meantime, the same leaker has released dummy iPhone 16 phones in all colors, so we have a good idea of what the phones will offer, at least from a design perspective.

Whether you should buy the iPhone 16 is another question entirely. Some people are waiting until the iPhone 17 Slim comes out to see what it’s all about. Mobile industry analysts have even said they think the iPhone 17 is a more worthwhile upgrade.
