The makers of Netflix’s anime hit Blue-Eyed Samurai discuss their plan for the series.
In conversation with Collider: Blue-Eyed Samurai Creators Michael Green and Amber Noizumi explained their plans for the future of the series, clarifying comments they had previously made to the same media outlet.We are currently planning three seasonsnoted Green. “We have a second season in mind and one hopes there will be a third season because we definitely have plans for that. We are currently imagining three. I think we said four in an interview once, possibly with Collider, and suddenly it became ‘the lore!’ Things you say when you’re not used to being interviewed.”

Maya Erskine leads the voice cast of Blue Eye Samurai
Blue-Eyed Samurai Maya Erskine voices Mizu, a mixed-race woman whose childhood struggles with her heritage have had a profound impact on her as an adult. The series also stars George Sakei as the voice of Seki, Brenda Song as Princess Akemi, Darren Barnet as Taigen, Kenneth Branagh as Abija Flower, and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as the blind swordsmith Master Eiji. Blue-Eyed Samurai follows Mizu as she travels through Japan in search of four men who have tormented her throughout her life and seeks bloody revenge on them.

Season 1 of the Netflix series “Blue Eye Samurai” is a nod to numerous epic, emotional stories that have thrilled Hollywood and comic book fans over the decades.
Noizumi previously spoke about the future of the series and the franchise that is quickly coming into focus around it. “It’s planned. Season 2 has an approved outline. In our heart of hearts, we want to tell at least three, four seasons,” Noizumi explained. She also touched on the idea of further shows set in the same universe as Blue-Eyed Samuraiand promised fans that she and Green already “know the end of this story. We would love to continue. We know the spin-off.”
