Obituary for Doris Swearman (1927 – 15.08.2024) – Irwin, PA

Doris R. Swearman, 96, of Irwin, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024. She was born November 4, 1927, in Pocahontas, PA, to the late Robert P. and Rebecca (Miller) McKenzie. She was predeceased by her husband, Blaine E. Swearman, son, Danny B. Swearman, grandson, Robert S. Swearman, and brothers and sisters, Blaine McKenzie and Margaret McKenzie. Doris was a founding member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, loved gardening and baking, and most of all was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Terry R. Swearman of Ambridge, Hugh A. (Mary) Swearman of North Huntingdon, and Timothy C. Swearman of West Newton, and her grandchildren, Christopher S. (Elizabeth) Swearman, Jacob R. Swearman, and Margaret L. Swearman; and her great-grandchildren, Michael D. Swearman, Timothy B. Swearman, Deianarra L. Swearman and Arianna T. Swearman; and her brother and sister, Charles Miller and Helen Stiffler; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Reverend Andrew Wirt officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland Memorial Park.
