Stargazers will also experience a blue moon – and no, the moon will not be blue.
According to NASA, a blue moon occurs when we see the full moon twice in one month. A blue moon occurs on average once every two to three years, but a blue moon that is also a supermoon is rare.
According to NASA, the next super blue moons will occur in pairs in January and March 2037.
We will also have a so-called Sturgeon Moon, which is the Native American name for the full moon in August.
