Color options for iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max emerge

Apple is preparing to launch its highly anticipated iPhone 16 series next month, and recent leaks have revealed new details about the upcoming models.

According to the well-known leaker Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial) on X (formerly Twitter), the iPhone 16 Pro range will be available in four different colours: white, black, gold and grey.

This is in line with an earlier leak by Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson), who demonstrated dummy iPhone 16 Pro units in these expected color options.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max colors

A newly shared image by Majin Bu highlights the camera lens rings of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models, confirming the leaked color options.

All colors of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be labeled “Titanium,” indicating that the previously available “Natural” and “Blue” options have been removed.

Additionally, the leak introduces a new color called “Desert Titanium,” which is described as a dark gold tone. This shade is said to be subtle and deep, comparable to the iPhone 14 Pro’s Deep Purple.

The Desert Titanium color is set to replace the Blue Titanium color from the iPhone 15 Pro lineup. The new color options include White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Natural Titanium, with the latter having a more gray finish and Black Titanium appearing significantly darker this year.

Previous reports suggested that the iPhone 16 Pro might again get a polished finish, similar to the stainless steel finishes found on iPhones from the X to the 14 Pro. The leaked camera lens rings support this speculation.

Furthermore, initial rumors of a “rose gold” finish have been refuted by these recent leaks, which instead suggest a bronze-like color.

iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus colors

Unlike the Pro models, the standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are expected to feature brighter and more vibrant colors, including blue, green and pink, as well as black, pink and white.

Dummy models shared by Sonny Dickson show a vertically aligned dual-camera configuration reminiscent of the iPhone 12 from 2020. It is noticeable that the square camera island seen since the iPhone X and iPhone XS series is missing from these new models.

Start date?

As the expected release date of September 6-10, 2024 approaches, more details are expected to emerge that will provide further insight into Apple’s iPhone 16 series.
