UPDATE: The evacuation order for residents of Mary Kitchens Road and the southeast of Mary Kitchens Road in the Garçon Point area After a bushfire, the evacuation has been lifted. Residents can return.
Santa Rosa County officials reported that Mary Kitchens Road and Garcon Point Road north and south of Mary Kitchens Road have reopened after a brief closure due to the fire.
The Florida Forest Service-Blackwater Forestry Center reported the fire was 60% contained at 12 acres, county officials said Tuesday afternoon.
Officers will monitor the situation throughout the night.
