Audio-Technica’s new eye-catching wireless earphones in four eye-catching colors

Japanese brand Audio-Technica has introduced the latest version of its trendy true wireless earbuds. Designed for the modern lifestyle, these affordable earbuds have a lightweight feel and a stylish finish, making them ideal for music, movies or gaming.

Smaller and lighter than the original ATH-SQ1TW, the next-generation ATH-SQ1TW2 are Audio-Technica’s most compact earphones to date. The ATH-SQ1TW2 feature a compact, square design and are available in four finishes: jet black, pure white, navy/red, and forest green.

The earphones represent the entry-level model in Audio-Technica’s product range and feature 5.8mm drivers that the company says deliver powerful low frequencies and bright highs in an appealing package.

Thanks to a low latency mode, the ATH-SQ1TW2 is suitable for gamers, social media scrollers and movie fans. The low latency mode means videos and games can be played without any noticeable audio delay, so audio and video are synchronized when playing game effects and movie soundtracks.

Multipoint pairing allows two devices to be connected to the ATH-SQ1TW2 at the same time, so you won’t have to worry about missing smartphone calls while listening to music on your laptop or digital audio player.

Easily accessible environmental control features allow ambient noise to pass through to the earbuds, with a hear-through feature for continuous environmental awareness and a talk-through feature for listening to travel announcements or even eavesdropping.

Audio-Technical claims the ATH-SQ1TW2 enables clear hands-free calls even when using just one earbud. Optimally placed and tuned microphones cancel out ambient noise, including wind, while the Audio-Technica Connect app offers a sidetone feature so you can hear your voice on phone or video calls for more natural-sounding conversations.

A full charge of the earbuds provides 6.5 hours of continuous playback time, while the storage case provides an additional 13.5 hours of reserve charge, giving a total playback time of 20 hours before the case needs recharging. The ATH-SQ1TW2 earbuds come with four sizes of soft silicone ear tips, making them comfortable to wear even on long trips.

The earbuds can be charged via a USB-C cable or any Qi-compatible wireless charging mat. Transparent cutouts in the lid provide an instant view of the earbuds. Thanks to an IPX5-equivalent environmental rating, the earbuds are also water-washable.
