Three luxury resorts in the greater Phoenix area were recognized for offering the country’s most outstanding hotel amenities, such as pools and spas.

USA TODAY 10Best has released its lists of the country’s best hotel amenities as part of its 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards. Honorees included Arizona Biltmore – which 10Best recently named one of the best vacation resorts – Hotel Valley Ho and Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.

10Best is described as “the go-to source for reader-voted and editor-approved ideas” for Americans’ vacation planning. The Readers’ Choice Awards recognize the best hotels, airlines, destinations and restaurants. Nominees are chosen by 10Best editors based on nominations from travel industry experts, and USA TODAY readers voted for their favorites based on those nominations.

Here you can find out everything you need to know about the award winners from Arizona.

Why the Arizona Biltmore and Hotel Valley Ho pools are among the 10 best

Two Arizona hotels make 10Best’s list of best hotel pools: Arizona Biltmore at number 6 and Hotel Valley Ho at number 10.

Arizona Biltmore, the historic resort notable for its Frank Lloyd Wright-style architecture, has seven pools. Readers liked the variety, which ranged from adults-only relaxation areas like the Saguaro Pool to family-oriented play areas like the Paradise Pool, which houses a triple waterslide called the Twist. The latter justified the Biltmore’s inclusion in The Arizona Republic’s guide to family-friendly resorts in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

At Hotel Valley Ho, the Scottsdale resort that combines mid-century architecture with modern amenities, readers enjoyed the resort’s two pools. The OHasis Pool is “focused on leisurely laps and quiet moments of relaxation,” according to 10Best, and the party-oriented OH Pool features a hot tub, poolside bar and restaurant.

Why the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has one of the 10 best spas

10Best readers voted the Well & Being Spa at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess the fifth best resort spa in America.

The Well & Being Spa, which has already been recognized in 10Best’s ranking of resort spas, scored highly for its “transformative experience,” which includes desert-inspired spa treatments, a rooftop pool, aromatherapy room, personalized nutrition counseling and aerial yoga.
