Brand review for OKC professional soccer club considers women’s team

Oklahoma City’s professional soccer team is undergoing a brand review that could bring some changes to the community.

The process includes regular hearings and consideration of a future women’s team.

Echo, the majority owner of OKC Energy FC, which is managed by its new partner Echo Soccer, said after increasing feedback from the community, the brand review will consider a future in which the club includes a women’s team.

“The enthusiasm and support for professional soccer has been incredible over the past few weeks. As we work to build the very best soccer club for Oklahoma City, we are taking a holistic approach that is guided by community input and feedback every step of the way,” said Court Jeske, President of Echo Soccer. “In many ways, with the Energy on hiatus for the past three years, we have a blank canvas from which to rebuild our club into something new. Ultimately, the upcoming review is about making sure soccer in OKC best reflects who we are and where we are going. And we will take our time and get it right – for everyone who wants to support the club.”

Updates will be posted on OKCforSoccer.com.
