If you like the look of the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense controller, you need to know where to pre-order it. Astro Bot’s next big PS5 adventure is coming later this year, and it might actually be one of the most hyped PS5 releases in a long time. Not only are people excited for the next Astro game, but they also love the look of the official DualSense skin – and rightly so!
This may be one of the newest versions of the DualSense controller we’ve seen since the PS5 launched in 2020. The limited edition pad from God of War Ragnarok comes close, but actually looks a little like its title character. The design is really well thought out and adds more personality to an accessory we use on a daily basis. Is this the best PS5 controller? Who can say, but with all the excitement surrounding it, we thought it would be best to tell you where you can get one.
The Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller will go on sale in the US at 10am ET / 7am PT on August 9, but is already available in the UK from Very – in fact, the gamepad is already sold out at Currys. It will cost a little more than the regular DualSense, coming in at $79.99 / £69.99. We’re told via the PlayStation Blog that the “Limited Edition” title is for a good reason, as the gamepad will only be available in limited quantities, so you’d better be on your toes if you want to snap up this keepsake.

Should you pre-order the Astro Bot DualSense?
This official DualSense is a perfect accessory for the upcoming Astro Bot game, which launches on September 6. Astro’s Playroom, which comes pre-installed on every PS5 console, is probably still the best use of the DualSense’s innovative features. There have definitely been some great uses of haptic feedback and trigger resistance, but I’m not sure anything has made them as central an aspect of gaming as Astro.
For this reason, an Astro controller makes a lot of sense and goes hand in hand with the franchise’s penchant for showcasing cool PlayStation hardware from the brand’s past.

Astro Bot DualSense Pre-Orders: FAQ
How much does the Astro Bot controller cost?
The Astro Bot controller is a little more expensive than the regular version of the DualSense at $79.99/£69.99. Although it’s just a re-issue of the stock PS5 gamepad and doesn’t have any of the pro features of the DualSense Edge, its looks, high demand, and connection to the Astro Bot PS5 games make it worth paying a little extra.
Is Astro Bot free on PS5?
Astro’s Playroom is free to play for anyone who purchases any version of the PS5 console. It comes pre-installed and gives you a perfect introduction to the PS5’s bespoke controller features. However, Astro’s upcoming adventure is not free, as it is a larger project that has taken Asobi Studio a lot of time and resources to create. The full game, due out in September, will cost $59.99/£59.99.
Will Astro Bot be on PSVR 2?
Many VR fans are upset that there won’t be a VR port for the new Astro Bot game, despite the series’ success on the first PSVR. Playing Astro Bot with PSVR 2 won’t give you any advantages, but you will be able to play it in the headset’s Cinematic Mode – a great way to experience any game on PS5.
