Rapper Juvenile kicked off American Airlines flight

Updated Thursday, August 22, at 12:10 p.m. PT: In light of the negative experience rapper Juvenile had on his flight to Fort Worth, Texas this week, American Airlines has since responded by apologizing and providing further details on the matter.

According to an AA spokesperson, the reason Juvie’s first class seat was downgraded to economy had to do with the “downgraded layout” of the flight itself, which resulted in four fewer first class seats than originally planned. His specific flight was switched from an A320 to an A319 for illustrative purposes. Affected customers, identified through an automated process, were offered an additional seat in the main cabin instead of a first class seat.

In a statement to The rootthe spokesman said:

“American Airlines is committed to providing a positive experience for every traveler and we apologize for Mr. Gray’s recent experience with us. An unplanned aircraft type change impacted his seat assignment and we regret that he was not informed prior to boarding. A member of our team has spoken personally with Mr. Gray to resolve the situation.”

The airline also clarified that the “Rodeo” rapper was not kicked off the flight.

It seems that American Airlines is struggling with its relationship with Rapper Teen …thanks to a recent unfortunate encounter.

In a now expired Instagram Live session on TuesdayThe popular New Orleans rapper was informed by two flight attendants that he would have to give up his first class seat on a flight to Fort Worth, Texas, for a performance on his “Back That Azz Up 25th Anniversary Tour”When his wife asked why his seat had been downgraded and hers had not, the flight attendants explained that they had only relied on what was shown to them internally on their site.

“Man, they want to throw me out of the plane!” said an incredulous Juvie in a screenshot from AllHipHop. Because the staff persisted, he and his wife finally decided to leave the plane.

“Nothing like this has ever happened to me in my life. Man, you guys are freaking out. I’m a celebrity,” he said. “I’m telling you, there will be consequences. There will be consequences because I’m getting off the plane. I’m getting off the plane. I’m not going to let you disrespect me like that. I’m not going to let you single me out of all the people on the plane and disrespect me. So I’m getting off the plane.”

In a follow-up video posted on his official InstagramThe “Slow Motion” rapper subsequently expressed his displeasure with the airline, but assured his fans in Texas that he would still perform because he would board another plane and fly there.

“We’re talking about first class. First class? I think I know a thing or two about first class,” the “Back That Azz Up” rapper said while scrolling through alleged past first class bookings on American Airlines. “Fuck American Airlines, all the money I spent on you bitches… they wanna put me in economy, you motherfuckers? I’ve never flown economy. Fuck y’all, I feel like I’m being screwed.”
