The rap legend took Instagram Live to let fans in on the drama. “Do you hear that? They’re trying to throw me off the plane. They’re trying to get me out of first class,” he said, visibly upset.
Teenager and his wife, Shadonna Joneswere already sitting in their seats on a flight from From New Orleans to Dallas when the flight crew delivered the bad news.
However, his wife was not asked to move. “I’m his wife, so how can you demote him and I could still stay?” she asked.
Juvenile, however, was not going to accept the change. “You’re not going to put me on a bus. This has never happened to me in my life,” he countered. “I’m a celebrity. There will be consequences because I’m going to get off the plane. I’m not going to let you treat me with such disrespect.”
Instead of switching seats, Juvenile and Shadonna decided to leave the plane. As they got off, Juvenile made his final statement, saying, “Of all the people on the plane, you chose a celebrity.”
American Airlines later claimed that the entire process was automated, but Juvenile was not convinced.
In a second Instagram Live video, he said: “Fuck American Airlines. I spent so much money on you bitches. They want to put me in economy, asshole? I’ve never flown economy. I feel ripped off.” He didn’t stop there, adding in the caption: “I feel ripped off @americanair, you want to put me in economy when I’m already in my seat??”
Juvenile made it clear that he would not accept the matter without a fight.
