The Singapore Green Label is one of the most prestigious global certifications for environmental safety and product quality. This recognition underlines the commitment of the Group and its business units to ensure the highest quality standards while fulfilling their environmental responsibilities for the benefit of customers.
The Singapore Green Label is a Type 1 eco-label verified by an independent third party based on life-cycle considerations and awarded under the Singapore Green Labelling Scheme. Administered by the Singapore Environment Council since 1999, the scheme is Singapore’s leading environmental standard and certification mark with over 3,800 unique products certified in 43 countries. It is designed to help the public identify environmentally friendly products that meet certain eco-standards.

To be certified as an eco-friendly product, SCG Color Roof has undergone a rigorous testing and evaluation process to meet strict product, health and environment, and product life cycle criteria. In terms of product criteria, a toxicity characteristics determination process is conducted in a laboratory in Singapore to determine the potential amount of heavy metals (including arsenic, lead, mercury, etc.) and contaminants. The results show that SCG Color Roof does not contain any hazardous chemicals.
For health and environmental reasons, at least 10 percent of the waste is reused as raw material for production. The roof tiles must use one of the types of cement specified by Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA). The cement composition consists of certain percentages of fly ash, limestone or other waste as prescribed by the NEA.
SCG Color Roof meets both requirements by using 100% Portland cement (PCB50) that complies with national technical standards (QCVN) 16:2023/BXD and contains 10% fly ash from municipal waste incineration and 8.5-10% limestone within the limits set by the NEA. Thanks to the features such as green raw materials and green production, the product is not only environmentally friendly but also safe for the consumer’s health.
When it comes to the life cycle of a product, CRVC must have policies, procedures and instructions for proper storage and handling of input materials, processing of recycled waste and minimizing carbon emissions into the environment. SCG Color Roof meets the criteria due to its minimal environmental impact throughout its life cycle. The product goes through an unfired roof tile manufacturing process without the use of fossil fuels and an annealing process with a constant temperature of less than 45 degrees Celsius, as well as energy-saving technologies.
After a rigorous verification process, four SCG Color Roof series have been certified as environmentally friendly. These are the SCG Elites series of curved roof tiles, the SCG Prestige X series of flat roof tiles, and the Elabana and Prestige roof tiles. This recognition not only makes SCG Color Roof an environmentally friendly product, but is also a guarantee of high quality.
As a Singapore Green Label certified product, SCG Color Roof is widely used in commercial and industrial applications in locations such as Ho Chi Minh City (Fuji Residence, Camellia Garden – Nam Long Group), Binh Duong, Vung Tau (Lavida Residences) and Long An (WaterPoint – Nam Long Group).
