September 29, 2021: New generation Kawasaki Z125 presented in new color options
Kawasaki has launched its new generation Z125 motorcycle in the international markets. It is available in Standard and SE variants. The former is offered in Metallic Flat Spark Black while the latter is available in two dual-tone colours: Metallic Flat Spark Black/Pearl Flat Stardust White and Candy Lime Green/Metallic Spark Black. The new model does not feature any mechanical changes. Here are more details.
Design: The bike has 17-inch wheels and a digital instrument cluster
The Kawasaki Z125 sits on a diamond-shaped steel tube frame and features a muscular fuel tank with extensions, split seats, a raised exhaust, a sharp-looking headlight and arrow-shaped mirrors. The motorcycle has a digital instrument cluster and rides on black 17-inch designer wheels. It has a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres and weighs 147 kg.
Fact: It runs on a 15 hp 125cc engine
The new Kawasaki Z125 is powered by a 125cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 14.8 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.7 Nm at 7,700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Safety: It gets telescopic front forks
To ensure rider safety, the Kawasaki Z125 is equipped with front and rear disc brakes and ABS for better handling on the road. The motorcycle’s suspension is provided by 37 mm telescopic forks at the front and a gas-filled Uni-Trak shock absorber with adjustable preload at the rear.
Fact: Kawasaki Z125: Prices and availability
In Europe, the price of the new Kawasaki Z125 starts at €4,399 (around Rs. 3.81 lakh) for the standard model and goes up to €4,499 (around Rs. 3.89 lakh) for the SE version. The motorcycle is unlikely to be available in India.
