For pre-orders of the Pixel 9 series, Amazon offered some pretty good deals in the form of gift cards. Now that pre-orders are over – at least for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL – those deals are actually still available. For the Pixel 9 Pro XL, you get a $200 Amazon gift card with purchase, while for the Pixel 9, it’s a $100 gift card. That’s not too bad considering you don’t have to trade in your current phone.
This year, Google has hit the jackpot with the Pixel 9 Pro models. The Pixel 9 Pro XL is similar in size to last year’s Pixel 8 Pro, but features some design changes. This year, the Pixel 9 Pro XL has flat sides, although it’s not as sharp as some other devices with flat sides. And even the camera bump has flat sides. It’s truly a stunning device, especially in the hazelnut color.
Internally, the Pixel 9 Pro XL has the Tensor G4 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Inside is a fairly large 5,060mAh battery that should last you all day. And in our experience, it does that and more.
Of course, Google is all about AI this year. And there’s a lot of it. One of our favorites is Pixel Studio, which uses generative AI to create just about anything—but with some limitations. There’s also Magic Editor with Reimagine, which lets you edit your photos in spectacular ways.
