Tom Ford Beauty has signed Angelina Jolie as the face of its Runway Lip Color range.
The American actress and filmmaker will be the face of the new 18-shade moisturizing lipstick collection from the fashion and cosmetics house, part of the Estée Lauder Companies.
Jolie wears Runway Lip Color shade 16 Scarlet Rouge, a deep red, glossy shade, in the campaign, which launches September 3.
Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the campaign shows Jolie studying for a film role – “a character who loves the camera almost as much as the camera loves her,” according to the brand.
The Lara Croft: Tomb Raider The star and philanthropist was named ambassador because she is “always an icon,” Tom Ford Beauty said in a statement.
“An incorrigible pioneer, Jolie drives her personal story forward with strength, confidence and an uncompromising commitment to self-expression.
“As the winner of an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Tony Award, Jolie has established herself as an international icon in film, theater and fashion.
“She goes beyond the role of an artist and uses her influence through her humanitarian work. She has been working in this field for over 20 years, focusing on refugees and human rights.”
Runway Lip Color will be launched in September.
Other A-list ambassadors for Tom Ford Beauty include South Korean actors Gong Yoo and Hyun Bin.
Jolie is familiar with partnerships in the beauty industry, having previously been the face of the Guerlain fragrance “Mon Guerlain.”
She also worked with MAC Cosmetics on a makeup series inspired by Maleficent – the Disney villain she played in 2014.
To strengthen the brand’s global presence, Tom Ford Beauty recently promoted company veteran Dexter King to Senior VP, Global GM.
He was tasked with strategically expanding the reach of the luxury beauty brand in the areas of make-up, perfume and skin care.
