Design and features
The SONGMICS laundry hamper is available in five color options and three different sizes. For this review, I received the maroon color in the largest size, 90L (23.8 gallons). This color is a multi-toned dark brown, which I find more appealing in person than online.
Other color options that the SONGMICS laundry hamper is available in besides maroon include black, cloud white, dove gray, and goose yellow. Note that these are the names given to the colors on Amazon. On the SONGMICS website, they are referred to as brown, black, white, gray, and natural, but they appear to be the same colors. With all these color options, you’re sure to find something that suits your aesthetic and style.
The 90L (23.8 gallon) option, like the one I received, is 18.1″L x 13″W x 23.6″H. The smaller options are a 55L (14.5 gallon) model, 18.1″L x 7.9″W x 24″H and a 65L (17.2 gallon) model, 13.4″L x 13.4″W x 23.6″H. All options are handwoven with the same bBreathable synthetic rattan on a sturdy steel frame, foldable, with lid and washable insert and four silica gel feet.
The first thing that caught my eye was the hand-woven design. The SONGMICS laundry hamper has the classic woven look but is made from breathable synthetic rattan that is said to be waterproof, making it great for use in the bathroom. The sturdy, rust-proof steel frame ensures that it stands upright and retains its shape even when empty. Plus, the entire laundry hamper is collapsible, so you can fold it flat and store it conveniently when not in use.
Other notable features of the SONGMICS laundry basket are the lid and the protective feet. The laundry basket stands onSilicone gel feet protect your floor from scratches and the seamlessly closing lid prevents laundry from blowing out.
Inside is a washable, natural-colored, removable liner. Whether you have to walk 5 feet or drive to the laundromat, the removable liner makes it easy to transport your laundry to and from your destination. I also love that the liner attaches to the bottom of the hamper so it doesn’t slide down when you fill it.
The 90L model of the hand-woven laundry basket from SONGMICS has a impressive capacity that can easily hold a week’s worth of laundry, or can also be used to store toys or other items if you want. It’s rated to hold up to 55 pounds, and while I haven’t tested that limit, it actually holds quite a lot of clothes. The spacious interior offers plenty of storage, and I love that it has a wide opening at the top so you can just throw clothes in without making a mess.
Assembly
The SONGMICS handwoven laundry basket is well packaged to protect it from damage during transit and is ready to assemble. The instructions are complete and include photos to guide you through the 5 main assembly steps. All tools and parts needed for assembly are included, as well as a few extra spare parts.
STEP 1: Align the two parts so that the handles are both pointing upwards
STEP 2: Insert the 2 missing screws and tighten them using the tool provided.
STEP 3: Turn the laundry basket onto the floor. The 2 missing screws with the Silica gel feet with the included tool.
STEP 4: Turn the hamper back upright with the silica gel feet down and place the washable liner inside with the straps facing the lid side. Push the loose parts around the lid fitting (as shown).
STEP 5: Tie the liner in place.
The entire process took less than 10 minutes and was simple and straightforward with the instruction manual and included tools required for assembly.

In fact, I like it so much that I think I’m going to buy the SONGMICS 130L laundry hamper with 2 compartments for sorting, but in gray because that’s the color I really wanted.
