BJP MP Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy on Saturday said that there has been rampant land grabbing over the past five years as the mafia has been given free rein with the tacit support of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government.
Address to media representatives on the sidelines of the party Varadhi In his programme here, Mr Ramakrishna Reddy said that land grabbing was nothing new but the scale of land grabbing that took place with the support of YSRCP leaders, some of whom were part of the then government, was unprecedented.
A large number of the grievances received by BJP leaders were related to land disputes. The party was determined to resolve these issues. If necessary, the elected representatives would personally intervene and meet the officials concerned at the Secretariat, he added.
BJP Vice President S. Vishnuvardhan Reddy said that the Complaints Boards had become redundant during the previous government and that these boards would be revived. BJP Disciplinary Committee Chairman Paka Satyanarayana, official spokesperson RD Wilson and Varadhi Coordinator K. Dileep was present.
