From Angela Bassett to Kerry Condon, bright colors dominate fashion at the 2023 Oscars

With their fashion choices, celebrities brought a bit of sunshine to the 95th Academy Awards.

From royal purples to sunny yellows, bright colors lit up the champagne carpet.

Angela Bassett, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is no stranger to bright colors on the red carpet and wore an asymmetrical purple dress by Moschino.

With its voluminous shoulders and fishtail style, it seemed to be inspired by 80s ball gowns.

Kerry Condon, who was also nominated for the award for Best Supporting Actress, chose a simple silhouette with an asymmetrical strap by Versace for “The Banshees Of Inisherin”.

She kept the style of the outfit simple and classic, with loosely wavy hair and bright red lips.

After unveiling her cover of British Vogue this week, actress and model Cara Delevingne wore a crimson dress by Elie Saab.

The asymmetrical dress featured a slit up to the upper thigh, a bow on the shoulder and was paired with a diamond necklace and a sleek bun.

Grey’s Anatomy star Sandra Oh wore an orange Grecian-style dress by Giambattista Valli.

Writer and producer Lesley Paterson, whose film All Quiet on the Western Front is nominated for best international feature film, wore a light dress with a yellow bodice and a pink mullet skirt with red lining.

She wore lab-grown diamonds from Smiling Rocks: a tennis bracelet and two rings with pink and white diamonds.
