See how the Herbal Cobbler turns out at Sam Hill

ANN ARBOR, MI – Visiting friends on the west side of Ann Arbor was a perfect opportunity to soak up the sun on Sam Hill’s porch. With the summer heat returning, I opted for a lighter cocktail, the tea-based Herbal Cobbler hit the spot.

The blend exudes bright herbal aromas with lemon and mint garnish. These flavors are balanced by the floral Carpano Antica – an Italian vermouth – giving the refreshing taste of an alcoholic Arnold Palmer without any added sugar. The hydration factor has to come from the cucumber, which makes the entire drink easy to swallow.

The balance of bright lemon and herbal tea over ice creates a distinct cooling sensation that floods the senses. The addition of mint in this mix lends a frosty aroma that deepens the profile of the cocktail.

This cocktail isn’t a harsh blow to the taste buds, it’s soothing and refreshing. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need – no overwhelming flavors lingering on the tongue, just a subtle summer drink for a hot August day.
