- NC State goals in the 49th and 53rd Minute – Wohner’s second goal of the day – prevented any possible comeback by the Rams
- VCU had a few chances in the last minute, including two shots on goal by Senior Carleigh Frilles and in the second year of study Jasmine Jackson in the second half, but could not score
- Oliva Pratapas of NC State made nine saves to keep the Black and Golds in check
