Las Cruces Comic Con returns for two days: events, schedules

The 2024 Las Cruces Comic Con begins on August 17 at the Las Cruces Convention Center.

The two-day event includes several celebrity appearances, panel discussions and exhibitions.

“We are thrilled to bring Las Cruces Comic Con back to our community this year,” said Troy Stegner, event coordinator, in a press release. “With a stellar lineup of guests and a full schedule of activities, we look forward to providing an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.”

Here’s what you should know if you plan to go there.

Where does Comic Con take place?

The Las Cruces Comic Con begins on August 17th and runs through August 18th.

The two-day event will take place at the Las Cruces Convention Center at 680 E. University Ave.

How much are tickets to Las Cruces Comic Con?

Tickets can be purchased at lascrucescomicon.com.

Day passes cost $25 for Saturday and $20 for Sunday. A weekend pass costs $40.

According to the Las Cruces Comic Con website, VIP tickets are sold out.

A child’s day ticket for Saturday and Sunday costs $5.

Military members can purchase a day pass for $20 on Saturdays, $15 on Sundays, and a weekend pass for $35.

Which celebrities will appear at Comic Con?

Several celebrity appearances are planned at this year’s Las Cruces Comic Con.

These include:

  • Leland Chapman (Dog, the Bounty Hunter)
  • James Urbaniak (Venture Bros & Oppenheimer)
  • Noelle Hannibal (Star Trek)
  • Chris Guerrero (One Piece and Overlord)
  • Melanie Kohn (Peanuts)
  • Keving Duhaney and Jeff Parazzo (Power Rangers Dino Thunder)
  • Mike Toth (Disney artist)

Fans can take part in autograph sessions and photo opportunities.

About the Cosplay Contest

The annual cosplay competition will take place again.

Preparations for the competition begin on Saturday at 6 p.m. The costume competition begins at 7 p.m.

The costume competition for children takes place on Sunday from 12:00 to 13:00.
