Princeton Review again ranks SU among the best colleges in the country – Tuesday, August 27, 2024

SALISBURY, MD—“The opportunities offered … are absolutely fantastic” and the campus is “welcoming and supportive” with “the best people I have ever met.”

These are some of the comments students made about Salisbury University in the new 2025 edition of The Princeton Review, “The Best 390 Colleges.” According to the Review’s flagship guide, the university is among the top 15 percent of four-year colleges in the country.

“Students are at the heart of everything we do at Salisbury University,” said President Carolyn Ringer Lepre. “These ratings reflect our commitment to a student-centered approach in both academics and campus life. It is especially significant that The Princeton Review, which values student feedback in its rankings, has recognized Salisbury University as one of the best universities in the country for over 25 years.”

SU’s evaluation focuses on academic achievement, a sense of support among students and an appreciation for athletics, student organizations and campus dining, along with “an extremely diverse and amazing student body with people from all walks of life.”

As for academics, students were excited about the opportunities, which included study abroad, lab research, team-based learning and the use of technology in the classroom, including augmented reality. They particularly praised SU’s nursing, life sciences and arts programs, as well as the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business (“one of the best in the state”) and the Glenda Chatham and Robert G. Clarke Honors College.

Students also continued to praise SU’s Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons, which was again ranked among the top 20 university libraries in the U.S. (SU’s library services are “amazing,” one of them said).

In addition, SU was once again recognized as one of the “Best Northeastern Colleges” and one of the nation’s “Green Colleges” by The Princeton Review. This sustainability award is an honor SU has received every year since The Princeton Review first awarded it in 2010.

“I give this campus 100/100,” wrote one student, summing up this year’s overall rating. “Everything is excellent.”
