Rafael Devers not in the Red Sox squad against the Blue Jays on Tuesday

BOSTON — Rafael Devers is not in the Red Sox’s starting lineup against the Blue Jays on Tuesday. Romy Gonzalez will play third base and bat seventh.

The Red Sox will look for their first home win after losing three games to the Diamondbacks over the weekend and both games of a doubleheader against the Blue Jays on Monday.

The first pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.

Devers has started 118 of Boston’s 131 games. He missed some time earlier in the year because of shoulder soreness and knee soreness. But he has played nearly every game since then. He played both games on Monday and went 1-for-7 with two strikeouts and one error.

Right-hander Cooper Criswell (5-4, 4.41 ERA) will start for Boston opposite right-hander Yariel Rodríguez (1-5, 4.33 ERA) of the Blue Jays.

Tonight, Criswell will face the Blue Jays for the first time this season. Rodríguez started the suspended game in Boston on June 26 earlier this year, throwing one scoreless inning before it was suspended due to heavy rain. Play resumed yesterday afternoon, and the Blue Jays won 4-1.
