MEMPHIS, Tennessee (NBC/WMC) – Rare collectibles from the world of music and film, including gold rings owned by Elvis Presley and a letter from Beach Boy Brian Wilson, will be auctioned in New York this weekend.
Among the top lots are several items that belonged to Presley, including a microphone from when the artist lived in Las Vegas, a pill bottle marked “March 1977” and two unique gold rings estimated at $35,000 to $60,000.
“There are some very powerful pieces in this auction in terms of the emotional connection to people,” said Brigitte Kruse of Kruse GWS Auctions. “Everything from Aaliyah to Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Abigail Folger, who was sadly known as a victim of the Manson murders. So we realize that there is this element of tragedy and that icons leave us far too soon.”
The online auction will be streamed live and will take place on Saturday, August 31st.
