What is “Expedition Bigfoot” about?

According to the official Discovery Channel synopsis, “Each year, hundreds of eyewitnesses recount alleged encounters with Bigfoot, a legendary cryptid described as a large, hairy, bipedal, ape-like creature. More than a third of the sightings come from the Pacific Northwest. In “Expedition Bigfoot” on the Travel Channel, an elite team of researchers feeds the reported sightings into an advanced data algorithm to narrow the search for the elusive creature to an area in central Oregon. The eight-part series follows the teams as they journey into the deep woods in hopes of finding evidence of the cryptid. “Travel Channel has assembled the very best team of experts in Bigfoot lore and science to give us proof of the creature’s existence once and for all,” said Matthew Butler, General Manager of the Travel Channel. “The journey is monumental and the danger is real. Skeptics and believers alike will agree that this team’s journey is something they have never seen before.”
