Blue Protocol will disappear in Japan on January 18, 2025 and its release in the West has been canceled

Bandai Namco has announced that it will cease development of Blue Protocol, its free-to-play MMORPG that launched in Japan in June 2023. The game’s service will end on January 18, 2025, and its previously planned western release in collaboration with Amazon Games has been canceled.

We know that

The publisher has expressed its disappointment with the decision, pointing out that it had worked closely with Amazon Games throughout the development process. However, despite the joint efforts, Bandai Namco ultimately concluded that it could not provide players with a satisfactory global experience.

Blue Protocol’s release was initially met with great enthusiasm, but ran into various problems that the development team worked hard to resolve. Unfortunately, these efforts were not enough to keep the game afloat. The western release, already delayed, was eventually deemed unfeasible.
