UK: The Independent Hotel Show, in association with James Hallam, has announced its seminar programme for the two-day event at Olympia London.

The theme of this year’s event is “Beyond the Hustle and Bustle” and will be reflected in the show’s design features and agenda.

The Hotel Business Stage, sponsored by eviivo and designed by Spacebrand, will host presentations and discussions on key industry trends. Philippa Wagner, founder of PeoplePlacesSpaces, will open the agenda with an examination of travel preferences across different generations, highlighting how hoteliers can adapt their services to meet the diverse needs of their audience.

Adam Buckmaster and Gwénaël Merlin from eviivo will each discuss the time-saving potential of the technology and offer practical advice on how to optimise operations in the hospitality industry.

The stage will also host the Power Hour series, where experts such as Umi CEO Harry Fielder will speak about internet fraud and social media best practices, and a live Q&A session with UKHospitality CEO Kate Nicholls will provide insight into the latest government measures affecting the industry.

On the Innovation Stage, sponsored by Guestline and MEWS and designed by Design Command, sessions focus on strategies and emerging trends.

Michal Rao from STR will provide analysis of the current UK hotel market, while Melanie Rozencwajg, Founder and CEO of DataThinkLab, and Nathalie Rozencwajg, Founder and Director of NAME architecture, will use the show theme ‘Beyond the hustle and bustle’ as a lens to discuss smart design solutions.

Sponsored by HotelPartner and designed by Anya Brakha Interiors, the Social Business Space offers interactive sessions aimed at improving inclusivity and technological integration in hotels.

Jade McKenzie and Lorraine Copes of Be Inclusive Hospitality lead a workshop on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), and live podcast recordings from Ryan Haynes of the Travel Market Life podcast cover technology and marketing strategies.
