Rap superstar arrested after attack on hotel security staff, cops say

Rapper Travis Scott was arrested after allegedly attacking a security guard at a French hotel early Friday morning, officials said.

As the Hollywood Reporter reported, the “Sicko Mode” superstar was taken into custody by French authorities after the alleged attack took place at the Hotel George V in Paris.

Scott, 33, reportedly lashed out after the security guard tried to break up an altercation between Scott and his bodyguard.

“I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott for attacking a security guard,” the Paris prosecutor said in a statement.

The French public prosecutor’s office said it had launched a criminal investigation into the case.

This is Scott’s second public arrest in recent months. He was arrested in Miami in June and charged with drunkenness and trespassing.

The rapper also made headlines because he got into a physical altercation with rapper Tyga and his business partner AE in France in early June.

Scott will perform a “One Night Only in Utopia” show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford in October.

The world-famous rap star is best known for hits such as “Sicko Mode,” “Goosebumps,” “FE!N,” and more. He has two children, Stormi and Aire, with celebrity Kylie Jenner.
