IHG Hotels & Resorts welcomes Verno House Budapest to the Vignette Collection, part of its luxury and lifestyle portfolio – now the second largest in the world. Verno House Budapest, Vignette Collection, a boutique resort in the heart of the city, will mark the Hungarian debut of IHG’s first collection brand this summer, a fast-growing family of unique, hand-picked hotels, each offering one-of-a-kind stays in unforgettable destinations.

Vignette Collection properties are unique in their identity but united by a vision to offer a more authentic way of travelling. Verno House Budapest, Vignette Collection presents an urban oasis overlooking Freedom Square, recalling the idea born in 19th century Budapest that one can only truly appreciate all the modern features of a city if there is a nurturing natural environment to escape to from time to time. Heavenly natural light, lush greenery, bold pops of color and a signature cedarwood scent create a sense of vibrant serenity, while public areas are decorated in a palette of warm hues and neutral shades accentuated by abstract furniture and sculptural light installations. Books and board games encourage guests and locals alike to come together and develop a sense of community. The 48 stylishly appointed guest rooms are equipped with locally crafted BOTANIQ Collection amenities and offer impressive views of the city. Deluxe, Premium and Suite options are available with city or park views. The Corner Suites in particular feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Budapest’s signature Art Nouveau architecture.

The hotel Recommended by the Michelin Guide Flava Kitchen & Morewith 106 covers, serves a menu of inventive North African, Latin American and Middle Eastern inspired delicacies as well as popular traditional dishes. Menu highlights include Chicken Lahmacuna traditional thin crispy flatbread with perfectly seasoned meat and the Hungarian favorites Beef cheek stew with spaetzle and mushrooms and goulash. To complement the chef-led culinary journey, an extensive selection of Hungarian and international wines, champagnes and cocktails is also available. Flava Kitchen & More draws inspiration from the world’s most popular culinary destinations, combining fresh, seasonal ingredients with masterful preparation techniques. In a lively ambience, guests are treated to al fresco dining both indoors and on the charming side street terrace. On weekends, a live DJ completes the Flava experience.

Verno House Budapest follows the openings of other European Vignette Collection hotels, including the first in the UK, The Halyard Liverpool, along with Convent Square Lisbon and Casa da Companhia in Porto, all of which opened last year.
