It’s not always the case that we get an advance announcement for a new Nintendo Switch Online, but every now and then a game is so well-known that Nintendo decides to start teasing it early – a typical example of this is the announcement of the upcoming release of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team.
The game, which was originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2005/2006, will be released for the Switch next week on Friday, August 9th and will be available to members who own the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.
Red Rescue Team was the last Pokémon game released for the GBA. Its companion game Blue Rescue Team was a Nintendo DS release. The Switch actually saw a remake of both games in 2020 titled Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, so you can now play both the original and updated versions of the game on the Switch.
