The late summer months are usually the time when the stars of the law and order The franchise is too busy filming new seasons to be spotted far from New York City, but that wasn’t the case this year thanks to the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Both Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay crossed the pond to cheer on Team USA, which included everything from hanging out with Snoop Dogg to meeting emotional medalists.
I was lucky enough to speak with the Law & Order: Organized Crime The Season 5 star about his other summer project, so keep scrolling to see two gymnasts who have an extremely relatable reaction to Mariska Hargitay and what Chris Meloni thinks about meeting SVU Fans in France.
Jordan Chiles and Suni Lee met the SVU star
After her 25th season as Olivia Benson in Law and Order: SVUMariska Hargitay took a break from filming Season 26 to cheer on Team USA. After thanking Ice-T in a caption for “holding down the fort” while she was away, she posed for a photo with Snoop Dogg with the men’s rowing team and their gold medals and shared a sweet photo of her daughter with gymnasts Suni Lee and Jordan Chiles.
While both medalists were calm as they posed for a photo with Mariska Hargitay’s daughter, they were still in the “freaking out” phase after meeting the SVU Legend in a cute video posted by Peacock. Check it out:
Anyone who watched the gymnastics competitions on NBC or via streaming with a Peacock Premium subscription could see how happy the two gymnasts were when they won their individual and team medals. I spoke to Meloni shortly after he finished his time in Paris, so I asked him what it was like competing in the Olympics and promoting a podcast at the time of year when he’s usually in Stabler mode filming. Organized crime in NYC. He explained:
Meloni will film Organized crime again at some point, but the show’s move from NBC to streaming on Peacock means it won’t necessarily keep a similar schedule to law and order And SVU more. So he was able to visit Paris for the Olympic Games without having to OC Set that was obviously an improvement over the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta!
Of course both SVU And OC are pretty dark shows, but often SVU Cable TV marathons and status streaming for Peacock and Hulu subscribers have Special unit for victims for many people, it is feel-good television. When I asked Meloni if he often hears that from fans, he said:
Christopher Meloni appeared in Law and Order: SVU in its 25th season, there was a cameo as a voice in the season finale, but that may have been more due to the delays caused by the WGA writers’ strike than anything else.
