AIIMS NORCET 7 Registration 2024 – Important Dates

Along with the release of the official notification for the Common Eligibility Test for the recruitment of nursing professionals, the dates for CBT Stage I and II will also be announced. CBT Stage I, i.e. the preliminary examination, will be conducted on 15 September 2024 (Sunday) and the main examination on 4 October 2024 (Friday).

Steps to Apply Online for AIIMS NORCET 7

To make it easier for the candidates, here we have described the step by step process to apply online for AIIMS NORCET 7 exam 2024.

  1. Visit the official website of All India Institutes of Medical Sciences at https://www.aiimsexams.ac.in/.
  2. Select AIIMS NORCET 7 Exam 2024 from the Important Announcements section.
  3. Click on “Online Registration” and enter all personal details like candidate name, father name, mother name, mobile number and email ID.
  4. A candidate ID and password will be sent to the registered email ID.
  5. Enter educational details like final examination, college name, admission and passing dates.
  6. Enter the candidate’s registration number with which he/she is registered with Nursing Council of India/State Nursing Council.
  7. Select the name of the state nursing association and enter the date the registration number was issued.
  8. Pay the registration fee online according to the category.
  9. Upload a photograph, signature and thumbprint of the candidate in a specified format.
  10. Download the AIIMS NORCET 7 Application Form 2024 and take a print for future reference.

AIIMS NORCET 7 Eligibility Criteria 2024

To get admission in Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-7, one must fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements of All India Institutes of Medical Sciences. Before filling the AIIMS NORCET 7 application form 2024, check out the age limits and qualifications given below.

Age limit (as of 21.08.24)

Those interested in becoming a nurse at AIIMS must be between 18 and 30 years of age on August 21, 2024. Candidates below or above the specified age are not eligible. Candidates belonging to reserve categories will be given relaxations in the upper age limit based on the rules of the hospitals.

Educational qualifications

Check out the minimum educational requirements required for the nursing post in AIIMS. Only candidates with any of these qualifications will be considered suitable.

  • Candidates must have completed B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an institute or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council.
    OR
    B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Institute/University recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council.
  • Candidates must be registered as a nurse/midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
  • In addition, candidates holding a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from any Institute/Board or Council recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council are eligible.
  • Those who are registered with the State/Indian Nursing Council as nurses and midwives.
  • Candidates must have two years of experience in a hospital of at least 50 beds after completing the above training which is applicable to all participating AIIMS.

AIIMS NORCET 7 Selection Process 2024

The selection process for nursing posts at AIIMS consists of two stages: preliminary examination and main examination. Detailed information is given below.

Stage I:- The first stage of the selection process for nurses is a preliminary examination of 100 marks including multiple choice questions. Candidates in UR/EWS categories are required to secure 50% marks while candidates in OBC categories are required to secure 45% marks. The minimum marks for SC/ST categories are 40%.

Stage II:- The shortlisted candidates then have to appear in a mains examination of 160 marks. The final selection is done at this stage. Candidates who qualify in this round are selected as AIIMS nurses.

AIIMS NORCET 7 Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates must carefully check the exam pattern for Prelims and Mains exam. This will help them prepare better and score good marks in the exam. Check the exam pattern for both the levels in the table below.

Preliminary examination

The pre-examination phase of the Common Eligibility Test for the Recruitment of Nurses consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Check out the exam pattern below.

  • For each wrong answer 1/3 of the points will be deducted.
  • For each incorrect answer, candidates will be given +1.
  • There will be a total of five sections, with candidates being allocated 18 minutes for each section.
