Alarm.com becomes the newest partner of the FIA Formula 3 car No. 18 driven by American Max Esterson

TYSONS, Va., August 15, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Alarm.com announces a new multi-year sponsorship of FIA Formula 3 rookie Max Esterson. Esterson’s unusual career began with online racing before transitioning to real-world racing in 2020 at the age of 17, just months after receiving his driver’s license. The up-and-comer is the only American on the F3 circuit and is building on his successful career in virtual racing to make a name for himself in the real-world FIA Formula 3 Championship, one of the world’s premier open-wheel championships with races across Europe, Australia and the Middle East.

“Max Esterson is the ideal co-pilot to increase awareness of Alarm.com’s successful solutions and technologies,” said Stephanie Kinney, Vice President of Marketing at Alarm.com. “Max’s career exemplifies speed, accuracy and innovation – qualities we bring to our products every day. Just as Max connects the virtual and physical worlds of racing, Alarm.com innovates to connect software and physical systems that impact millions of home and business owners worldwide in the real world.”

Esterson began racing online at age 11 in his parent’s New York City apartment using the simulation platform iRacing. He quickly gained international recognition and by age 16 was among the top four U.S. drivers in the iRacing program. After winning numerous competitions in the virtual world, he stepped it up a gear and took his talent offline and on the track. Esterson made his debut in one of the biggest races in the world, the prestigious Formula Ford Festival. He qualified second on his first attempt and eventually became the first American to win the Formula Ford Festival and the Walter Hayes Trophy – the two biggest Formula Ford races in the world. Despite having just three full seasons of racing on the track, Max is now a full-time driver in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, one of the most competitive series in the world and a direct feeder to Formula 1. At the halfway point of the current season, he has already earned championship points and qualified on the front row.

“I’m excited to have Alarm.com on my team and to partner with a global technology leader in smart security,” said Esterson. “It’s an honor to represent a company that is making such a positive impact and providing peace of mind to so many people.”

Max is on track to continue producing impressive results for the remainder of the season and Alarm.com is delighted to sponsor this next phase of his racing career.
