Amber Alert Los Angeles: New details emerge about the kidnapping of two missing siblings

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — It has been almost two weeks since four-year-old Wyman Bryant and his two-year-old sister Willow went missing.

The siblings were allegedly abducted by their biological parents in South Los Angeles on August 14. The four have not been seen or heard from since and could be anywhere in the country.

Tiffany Bryant, 39, and David James, 53, were probably traveling with their children in a champagne-colored Buick Enclave SUV carrying paper plates, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Nina Glass, director of the nonprofit Search & Rescue San Antonio, Inc., said the parents abducted the children during a supervised visit from the Department of Children and Family Services.

Glass said Bryant and James fled through an emergency exit with Wyman and Willow, leaving their 15-month-old child behind. Last week, the CHP issued an Amber Alert on behalf of the LA County Sheriff’s Department.

The children had been living with a foster family since last year after testing positive for drugs at birth. The foster family has now received help from Glass’ nonprofit organization.

“They’re the kind of people that can live off the grid, if that makes sense. They like being out there, in the middle of nowhere,” Glass said of the parents. “State parks – we always say RV parks, rest areas, you might see them at rest areas because they’re nomadic. They live in their car. They don’t have a real address.”

Glass said this was the second time the couple had abducted their children. The first incident occurred last summer during the birth of their third child. The children were found two months later and were apparently granted visitation rights again afterward.

Glass said the best way to help is to spread the word and distribute the Amber Alert flyer to as many people as possible.

“This is not the kind of search where you can actually say, ‘We’re going to go to this location and start searching,'” Glass explained. “This is more of a nationwide search where everyone has to be on the lookout for these people.”
