“American Dad!” soundtrack with the fans’ favorite songs will be released soon, the producers reveal at Comic-Con

“American Dad!” is finally getting its own soundtrack. The show’s cast and producers announced Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con that an album featuring 12 to 14 of the series’ most memorable songs (like “Daddy’s Gone” and “When I Dress My Body”) will be released on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music to coincide with the premiere of the next season on TBS.

Voice stars Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael MacFarlane, Dee Bradley Baker and Jeff Fischer joined executive producers Matt Weitzman, Kara Vallow and Nic Wegener to talk all things “American Dad!” in Ballroom 20 at the San Diego Convention Center.

More from Variety

Executive producer Matt Weitzman announced a list of guest stars for the next season, including Charles Barkley, Michael Imperioli, Leslie Jones, Joel McHale, Bret The Hitman Hart, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Neal McDonough, as well as Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.

Weitzman also revealed some upcoming plot points. In one episode, Roger and Stan (both voiced by Seth MacFarlane) get into a train accident and must combine their bodies to save their lives. In another episode, Rogu (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) becomes fatally ill and the whole family must pretend to be doctors to save him.

The panel also hinted at a Christmas episode and another musical episode in which Klaus raps.

The Comic-Con panel began with a teaser for Season 21, which is still in the pipeline at TBS (the network’s last remaining scripted series). The panelists then read a few scenes—and then, in a twist, switched roles and did each other’s voices.

“American Dad!” revolves around super-patriotic CIA agent Stan Smith (voice: MacFarlane) and the misadventures of his unconventional family in Langley Falls, Virginia. The family includes mother Francine (Wendy Schaal), daughter Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), son Steve (Scott Grimes), who is a nerd but confident, as well as Roger (MacFarlane), a cheeky, sarcastic and constantly inappropriate alien, and Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker), an attention-hungry goldfish with the brain of a German Olympic skier.
